Our Story

Bizindaan Indigenous Consulting was founded on a deep commitment to respect and justice for Indigenous communities. With over two decades of experience, our team brings a wealth of knowledge and a heartfelt passion for supporting Indigenous peoples in their quest for self-reliance and strength. We are inspired by the teachings and traditions of Indigenous cultures and strive to reflect these values in all we do.

Our Team

Godlove Suh - Founder

Godlove Suh is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Bizindaan
Indigenous Consulting Inc., bringing over 20 years of expertise in
public policy development, Indigenous engagement & consultation,
and business development. He has worked with over 60
Indigenous communities across Alberta and the Northwest
Territories, building strong relationships and advancing policies in
land, environmental, and natural resource management.

Among his notable achievements, Godlove led the development
of the first Métis Settlements Consultation Policy for Alberta and
played a key role in renewing the Province’s Policy on Consultation
with First Nations. Through Bizindaan Indigenous Consulting, he
provides innovative, culturally sensitive solutions, driven by a
collaborative approach and a commitment to advancing
Indigenous rights and interests across Canada.

Jim Gurnett - Advisor

Jim Gurnett is a highly accomplished leader with 45 years of
experience in senior roles across the education, social profit,
and government sectors. He has been recognized with
prestigious honors, including the Queen’s Platinum, Diamond,
and Gold Jubilee medals.

As an award-winning program developer, speaker, writer, and
adult educator, Jim is widely respected for his expertise in
strategic communications, policy analysis, community
development, political campaigns, and public policy.
His leadership experience includes serving as a Member of the
Legislative Assembly, Executive Director of the Government
Caucus at the Legislature, and founding Executive Director of
the University of Alberta’s Hope Foundation research centre.
Jim also served as Executive Director of the Edmonton Centre
for Newcomers, where he developed innovative supportive
housing for refugees experiencing trauma.

Esther Numfor - Community Engagement Consultant

Esther Numfor is a passionate community practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the social sector, working with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Her work focuses on supporting people facing barriers to social integration by advocating for services, facilitating programs, and fostering inclusive engagement.

Esther brings a strong background in monitoring and evaluation, using data and evidence to improve program outcomes and inform decision-making. She is currently pursuing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Program Evaluation at Carleton University, building on her practical experience and sharpening her evaluation skills.

Trained in social work and community economic development, Esther is known for her hands-on approach and commitment to community-led solutions. She continues to take on assignments that involve engaging, facilitating, and delivering impactful programs—combining advocacy, program management, and evaluation to support stronger, more responsive communities.

Melvis Sone - Communication Consultant & QA Lead

Melvis Sone is a marketing and research professional with over 10 years of experience in market research, data analysis, and strategic communications. As a Communication Consultant and QA Lead with Bizindaan Indigenous Consulting, she supports projects through strong community engagement, clear messaging, and quality assurance processes.

Melvis brings expertise in survey design, data collection methodologies, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. Her background in both private sector marketing and public-focused research allows her to help teams bridge communication gaps, engage diverse communities effectively, and support evidence-based decision-making in equity-focused projects.

Theresia Vughosu - Community Engagement & business development consultant

Theresia Vughosu is a Community Engagement and Business Development Consultant with Bizindaan Indigenous Consulting. With over six years of experience living and working with Indigenous communities in Nunavut and Alberta, she has successfully led some of the most challenging and politically sensitive agreements, negotiations, and projects.

 

Her work has focused on meeting the needs of both communities and governments, forging strong relationships and ensuring meaningful outcomes. Over the course of her career, Theresia has gained valuable experience across Indigenous, educational, private, and non-profit organizations, developing strong skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving.

 

In addition to her Master’s in International Accounting and Finance, Theresia has completed several training certifications, including but not limited to business development, project management, and negotiations. Her passion for fostering positive change drives her commitment to the communities she serves.
